Two of Iran's biggest strategic advantages right now are:(1) The US depletes its interceptors far faster than it can produce them(2) A substantial portion of global petrochemical exports (among other things) go through the Strait of HormozIt's unlikely either will disappear in the short term (the timeline of this war). But it should not be assumed either will last forever either. The first is just an engineering problem. One with quite a bit of attention on it. It would be foolish to think there isn't a solution to produce interceptors at scale (or lasers or something else).Probably not tomorrow or in a year, but certainly in the 2030s.The second one is more challenging and the alternative pipeline routes aren't as simple as some make it seem. But again there's no fundamental law of physics saying this will always be the case. Especially if the incentives get strong enough to change the situation (like what's happening now). The wise move would be to take advantage of this leverage now - while it still is quite strong - in order to bring about a better long term outcome (particularly in relation to sanctions, the economy, the regional situation) so that when the other side finds solutions, we aren't still stuck in the same hole we are today.x.com/i/status/2081224608255283249
