Shakila Ghasemi, a 26-year-old Baha’i citizen from Kerman, has been released after more than six months in detention. She was arrested on February 2, 2026, after security forces raided her home in Kerman. Her home was searched and her electronic devices were confiscated before she was taken to a detention facility operated by the IRGC Intelligence Organization. Ghasemi spent approximately 47 days there, where she was subjected to interrogation, before being transferred to Kerman Prison.Ghasemi subsequently spent around 100 days in solitary confinement at Kerman Prison. During this period, according to published reports, she experienced nervous attacks due to psychological pressure and was taken to the prison medical unit several times. She was later transferred to the general ward, where she remained in detention without her charges being officially announced and in a state of legal uncertainty until her release.
