Twenty-six Baha’i citizens living in Shiraz have been summoned again to Branch 2 of the Fars Province Court of Appeals after nearly a decade of judicial proceedings. Their hearing has been scheduled for July 27, 2026.Since 2016, the individuals have faced charges including disseminating propaganda against the Islamic Republic, assembly and collusion against national security, establishing a group with the aim of perturbing national security, relations with hostile governments, and membership in opposition groups.Parisa Rouhizadegan, Esmail Rousta, Bahareh Norouzi, Behnam Azizpour, Samareh Ashnaei, Ramin Shirvani, Rezvan Yazdani, Soroush Iqani Soghadi, Saeed Hasani, Shadi Sadegh Aghdam, Shamim Akhlaghi, Sahba Farahbakhsh, Sahba Moslehi, Ahdieh Enayati, Farbod Shadman, Farzad Shadman, Lala Salehi, Mozhgan Gholampour Saadi, Marjan Gholampour, Maryam Eslami Mehdiabadi, Mahyar Sefidi Miandoab, Nabil Tahzib, Nasim Kashani Nejad, Noushin Zenhari, Vargha Kaviani, and Yekta Fahandazh Saadi are the citizens who have been summoned again.According to information received, the case has gone through multiple stages over the past decade, including arrests, heavy sentences, confirmation of those sentences on appeal, reversal by the Supreme Court, acquittal, and then the reopening of the case through Article 477 of Iran’s Code of Criminal Procedure.Despite the acquittal, the case was reopened after an objection by the Fars Province prosecutor and the Supreme Court’s reversal of the ruling.@iranhrdc#DigitalBlackoutIran#iran_strikes #iran_human_rights#iranmassacre
